Delta Ebro

This natural area, located in the province of Tarragona, covers an area of 320 square kilometers, of which 80 are part of the Protected Landscape Area Delta de L'Ebre.

The Ebro River Delta is the largest wetland
in Catalonia.

Its international fame is ensured by its extraordinary ornithological richness, which includes over 400 bird species and some of the largest breeding colonies of waterfowl in the entire Mediterranean basin.

Thanks to its commitment to sustainable tourism, this location has been recognized by the European Commission as a model European tourist destination (EDEN).

Here you can find areas of fruit and vegetable cultivation, and even rice fields. In the coastal area, large lagoons surrounded by reeds and marshes dominate. Besides observing nature, it is worth visiting the beautiful sandy beaches, where you can find dunes and numerous cycling routes.
